Wayasewa Island (part 2)

Tuesday, Jan 9 (Frankie)

Today we went swimming with sharks and it was super fun! They were little tiny sharks. And we saw lots of pretty fish!

(There were a bunch of reef sharks, the biggest was probably 6 feet from tail to nose. Josh had fun taking GoPro videos, sometime we will figure out how to get a still picture on this site)

Snorkeling is fun.

Then we went to a mountain and and climbed it and it had bird poop on it. And bird eggs.

On the other side we saw lots and lots of very fast crabs.

It was cool to look down from the mountain.

Lucy made a really cool like city! It was made out of coral.

Wednesday, Jan 10 (Van)

Me and Frankie were eating mangos and drawing Brucie.

(Bruce is Auntie Moni's dog, somehow Auntie snuck pictures and letters into the girls' bags! Frank and van made some great pictures of the pictures)

So cute!

Taking a walk.

Hermit crab races!

(With an Auntie Moni on the middle)

I was finding beads to make a bracelet for my ankle.

Lucy was making beads for her friend and she liked it. I mean, bracelets.

We were climbing rocks at the sandbar.

(This is taken from our island, during low tide the sandbar connects the island to the next island! The walk entailed lots of rock climbing!)

I goed on daddy and mom's back for the rocks.

We were climbing trees. We hanged, we climbed, we jumped. And that's it.

Frankie and my fort.

I love you so much that I can't even stand it.

(We had a fun day just hanging out on the island-Magda read lots on her kindle, Josh and I took Lucy and Van on a walk to the sandbar which was really more of a hike, especially with a monkey named Van on your back, and there was lots of fort building and hideaways in the nooks and crannies in the trees and rocks around our house.)

Thursday, Jan 11 (Meg)

We spied a PERFECT mango on the roof. Frank volunteered to go get it!

Boat ride to Cast Away Island (ie, where the movie with Tom Hanks was filmed).

Sava showed us how to crack these little husks to get at a nut/seed like center-Lucy was hard at work to feed us all!

So many hermit crabs, with all kinds of fun shells. We saw tiny tiny guys (smaller than my pinkie nail!) and big guys the size of my palm. It was fun to see the beach a flurry of activity (as long as you stayed still enough not to scare them back into their shells!). Josh told us all about how he had a hermit crab as a pet when he was younger. Now we are wondering if Pepper (the bearded dragon) and a hermit crab could coexist...

This tiny gecko was surprisingly happy to crawl around Frank and Van.

Hello, friend!

Lu styled Josh's hair into some cute piggies.

Nap time!

Back to our island and back to climbing on trees! This was our last day on the island-back to the mainland tomorrow!
