The adventure begins

The fam is on the road! Back in the day before kids and dogs and house ownership, Meg and Josh went on an adventure that included living and working in New Zealand. The dream was to make it happen again, as a family-so this time, Meg (43), Josh (41), Magdalena (11, almost 12), Lucia (9), Francesca (7), and Evangelina (5) were off! Meg tried to bargain for a year in New Zealand, but she was overruled. So the current plan is Westport, South Island for 6 months. We left Ashland yesterday, with Nona and Auntie Moni as our transport down to our awesome Burnsville airport accommodations (thanks again, Nurms!), got dropped off at MSP this am, and the girls are now living their best lives with screens and snacks.
Poor Frank had a GI bug last night but is on the mend with paw patrol and sprite. She was such a trooper, trudging through the lines and security, all pale and sad. She's much better now!
1st stop-San Francisco! We will have about a day before the flight to Fiji leaves in the evening. Josh is on the hunt for clam chowder!
