ree

This is Lucy. This is the water tower were Meg and Josh lived by when they came to NZ 14 years ago.

(our apartment in Hawera had a great view!)

ree

This is the view before the Taranaki hut hike!

(En route to the mountain-Taranaki always has so many fun views!)

ree

look at the butiful Taranaki!

ree

we got to go on a swing bridge and had an amazing view!

(We hiked to a very popular hut that was overfilled! Good thing we got there early...)

ree

can you believe we were on a volcano!

(More Taranaki views. Super fun)

ree

look at the top of Taranaki.

(Dusk view!)

ree

My mom takes so many pictures.

(So. many. pictures.)

ree

look at the butiful trail that was so long and hard. to me any way.

(But Lucy and Frankie were always in front! Unless they were fighting about who was in front, then neither of them got to be in the front)

ree

we saw a butiful rock waterfall. It looks like a movie!

ree

we saw these really cool twisty trees that let in a little bit of sunlight. It was amazing!

ree

There were so many stars there were basically the hole way.

ree

there was also so much little cute adorable mushrooms.

(tiny, tiny mushrooms!)

ree

In part of the track we had to go through so many weeds.

they were also as tall as Lena!

(Weeds, native flax, whatever)

ree

this is Lena meditating in the huge hut we went to. there were so many people!

(And so many kids-they all had so much fun! There was a group of them that kept asking Josh to scare them. So he did, of course. And then all of thr children screamed and screamed.)

ree

the hut had a porch with an amazing view!

(more taranaki views-the sun is just to the right of the mountain)

ree

we went on this swing brige that was only ten minutes from from the hut.

ree

this is the same swing bridge from the picture before this. did you know that this is the highest swing bridge in all of Taranaki?

ree

Here is another picture of Taranaki and you can actually see Taranaki!

ree

we have been using lots of auntie monis games she got for us. Thanks auntie moni.

ree

good morning, time to hike back!

ree

more weeds. waaaaah.

ree

look at the pretty trail and trees.

ree

we took a different way back it was a nice trail we got to see a butiful view of Taranaki!

ree

on are way back we got to go to wilkes pools!

ree

We have FINISHED the hike!

ree

this a different like ten minute hike that leads the bottom of a butiful waterfall.

(Dawson Falls-the same falls that we took everyone to who visited last time! anyone remember?)

ree

After we did the hike we drove 4 hours to get to the place we were going to stay. and the next morning we went on a tour to HOBBITON!

ree

we took a bus from where we got tickets to go to hobbiton!

ree

this one hobbiton house but their are many others.

ree

this is a smaller hole to make the humans look big.

(I am not even a huge LOTR fan-I read the hobbit and loved it but couldn't get through the LOTR, and I didn't even see the hobbit movies but I loved this place do much!! the attraction itself was a well oiled machine, the tour guides were fantastic, and the attention to detail on all of these super cute hobbit houses was astounding. Each house had little details like the fisherman had fish cooking and fishing poles and things, the beekeeper had honey pots, etc.)

ree

this is one of the holes we got to go in just for pictures because when you looked inside it was just wood.

(for the 'gram, said the tour guide)

ree

this is bilbo baggons home just for pictures.

(the one fake tree on the property)

ree

this is the same blue hole frome before just a different angle.

(Actually it's not, different blue door-with such gorgeous flowers!!)

ree

we tried to weave a may pole but it didn't work.

(But it was a great college try!)

ree

finely went inside a hobitt hole. this is Josh on a hobitt bed. he's so much bigger. he he

(This part of the tour just opened in December-really hobbit houses! multiple rooms, so many details, everything that you see you can sit on or touch or play with!)

ree

this is Magda and Frankie by hobitt bunk beds.

ree

look at these closely so you know what mushrooms you can and can not eat.

('if it's blue it's not for you!' my favorite blue mushrooms in the right upper corner)

ree

I am now a professor in hobbiton.

ree

were having "dinner" fake dinner.

ree

Lena's working in the kitchen!

(Everything was perfectly sized for Violet!)

ree

part of the tour was going to the Green Dragon and got ginger beer. (mom and dad got beer beer)

ree

mom van frankie and Magda went outside while me and dad stayed inside. for reasons.

(Don't know what the reasons were)

ree

we saw so many sheep on the tour

(The scarecrow was so cute!!)

ree

Van's a fisher!

ree

Also we went to an amazing park that had a Zipline.

(so many amazing parks)

ree

there's Van being a monkey!

ree

Miss you all

❤️ Lucy

(me, too. ❤️ meg)
